- You’re not Alone. Most people have money problems. (Some are just good at hiding it.) For example, recent estimates show that one out of ten people are at serious risk of foreclosure, and one out of seven is currently behind on their mortgage payment. Want to put that in real terms? Next time you’re in a restaurant, look around. If there are forty people seated around you, four of them are trying to figure out how to save their homes, and five or six are behind and are trying to figure out how they’ll come up with the money to pay their bills next month. (A thought that might make you wonder, of course, why they’re in the restaurant at all.)
